Nose Poke
Background
In my lab, nose pokes provide an interface for rats to make choices in behavior experiments. The nose pokes serve the following functions:
- Light up to indicate decision options
- Detect when a rat pokes its nose into the port
- Deliver liquid reward to the rat
The company which previously provided our nose pokes went out of business. I designed and manufactured dozens of new nose pokes.
